Penang Hill - Track Road |
Penang Hill(Bukit Bendera) is the oldest British hill station in Southeast Asia, dated late 1700's. The highest peak of Penang Hill stand at 833 metres (2,732ft) above sea level. Penang Hill funicular trains is the 4th generations system which started its operation on 24th April 2011. The funicular track stretches a distance of 1,996 metres (1.99KM) from lower to upper station which is the longest in Asia. Penang Hill funicular tunnel, at 79 metres (258ft) long 10ft (3.0M) wide with a steepness of 27.9degree, is the bungalows located on Penang Hill (42 of them are private-owned and 10 bungalows are state-owned). Most of them are more than 100 years old and Bel Retiro (Governor's Bungalows) built in 1789 is the oldest. Number of visitors to Penang Hill in 2016 excceed 1.6million.

I went this placed 3 month ago at 11 April 2017. To go to this place only by one way. I need to go Penang Hill Railway to get me to top of the hill. The fees for railway is very affordable and have many programmes and events went puublic holiday is coming. The fees promotion during weekdays start at 6.30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. just for Mykad and Mykid holders. For Malaysian citizens, the fare for a return ticket is RM10 per adult and RM4 per child aged between 3 and 12. Senior citizens will enjoy cheaaper fares at RM4 per person. For non-Malaysian the fare is RM30 for adults and RM15 for children.
The ride continues to remain free of charge for disabled persons holding the OKU card.
Also uncharged are the fares for Penang hill residents, licensed traders and hawkers and workers, who can purchase monthly season pass at RM24.

When I arrived at the upper station, I will be given a free map of Penang Hill. There will be stall, Owl house, view side and many. This place very suitable for couples to celebrate their love.
